Every change of season brings the opportunity to organize and get rid of clutter. Your clothes closet is a great place to start.
When you take out your clothes from the prior season, be discerning before putting in your the new season's wardrobe. Here are some things to consider:
- Did you actually wear that last year? If you did not wear it at least twice, put it in the "toss aside" pile.
- Does the garment fit your body in a flattering way? Clothes shrink and your body changes. If it is no longer flattering, toss it to the pile.
- Are the clothes still appropriate for your lifestyle? A change in profession or your life situation might call for putting some of the clothes in the toss pile.
Now that you are happy with the clothes that will reside in your closet, it is time to do something with your big toss pile. It is always rewarding to give some clothes to charity and help people in need. Your local church would probably appreciate donations.
If you prefer, you can sell your clothes. The money you make from the sale could help you to supplement your current wardrobe. I used to sell on Ebay but the high listing prices ended up turning me off to it. I much prefer to sell for free wich leaves me with 100% profit!
Free online classified ads are the way to go. You can reach a huge audience that is looking for just what you have to offer. They are happy because they will be getting something for less than if they bought it new. You are happy because you were able to make a little money from your old things. It is a win win situation for all!
