Flugpo. Flugpo? What is that, you ask?
It sounds like phlegm, I know. It sounds like a weird arcade game, yes. But it is neither of these things. Flugpo is the newest social networking site to which you should actually pay attention.
Again, you're asking questions. What do I need another profile page for? I'm already friends with all of my friends, and their friends, online about 5 times over. I'm on Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, and Match. I don't need another self to maintain! That, my friend, is where you are wrong! You need a place more personal than Craigslist, but less teenybopper and out there than Myspace, to look for things you need and to sell the things you don't. That is where Flugpo.com comes in.
Granted, I'm biased. My ex-/boyfriend works for Flugpo. But, it's actually a really great idea. You join, set up a profile page, and have all of those great social networking perks that you get everywhere- you can post cute pictures, leave silly messages, and meet new people through groups and forums. The thing that sets Flugpo apart, though, is the classifieds! They are integrated and one of the main foci of the site! You can post classifieds that are private and can only be seen by your friends, or you can make them public so that they are listed to the entire site, but in the end, you don't sell or give anything away to anyone you can't check out first. You don't buy anything from anyone you don't trust. Flugpo puts a face to the ad, and makes your internet purchases more personal and more safe.
But don't take my word for it! I'm just one admittedly biased young New Yorker that is always looking for cheap finds for her apartment, but doesn't trust just anyone in a city as crazy and hectic as this one. I've already gotten a few books and a dresser through Flugpo, but we all know that social networking is no fun without a network!
So join! And then find me, joyous, and add me...and sell me your stuff!
