This is yet another sad story of a scam run through Craigslist. I find this really sad because this seems like such a nice family. I think the fact that posters can hide behind anonymity at Craigslist is what makes it so ripe for scandals. To find a safer alternative, check out Flugpo where there is a community and profiles to go along with the free classified ads. You can learn more about the seller and his/her reputation before considering conducting business with that individual.

Craigslist is definitely something that can make it easy for criminals and scam artists. It's the price you pay when you offer a free service, such as Craigslist. Its just a shame to see people abuse it.
