A North Vancouver ESL school for Korean students uses Craigslist to hire employees. Apparently a "John Doe" posted unauthorized and false allegations about the school in a series of ads on Craigslist. These ads contained false claims and slanderous remarks about the school.
The Province reports on Craigslist's cooperation (or lack thereof) in helping the school seek compensation for the damages ensued by the the false ads:
"The petition says Craigslist provided some information about the user in connection with one of the postings only because the user had violated an agreement against impersonation, but declined to release any other information and won't do so without a court order."
